What a wonderful and inspiring way to spend an afternoon. Justine's
Kitchen Coach sessions are well worth the experience. First I was given a
wide ranging list from which to choose a number of dishes.
I chose a marvelous rich lamb stew with glazed vegetables, and what turned out to be a superb and far from ordinary fish pie, both of these in addition to Pasta Alfredo and Linguine with chilli garlic and lemon. Easy but spectacular pasta
sauces, and a whole set of kitchen tips and tasks that taught me more in
three hours with Justine than several years poring over recipe books and
watching celebrity TV chefs had achieved. I wish Justine lived next door
-but given that she doesn't, she taught enough for me to remain inspired
several weeks later. My knives are forever sharp, and the carrot, celery and
onion mirepoix is now a standard in my kitchen. Fabulous.

Thanks again for a great session on Friday. I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot (so did my cleaning lady)!! The fish was delicious and so was the stew. I also peeled 30 quail eggs on Saturday for the Marcus Wareing salad. I have the cooking bug! I'll do the fish again for us this week-end and want to make the pizza for the kids. This is seriously getting in the way of getting some marketing work done!
